In 2015 Facebook rolled out live video streaming for verified public figures. The product has come a long way since the initially choppy experience that featured regular drop outs and frustrated streamers.
Now we are almost ensured a clean streaming experience that Facebook users seem quite happy with tuning into and participating in.
Today Facebook announced that it is in the process of rolling out Facebook Live to all Verified pages, not just for those who are public figures.
This will surely be a boon for verified pages and provide many new content generation methods as well as ways to truly connect with their users.
Facebook is being very aggressive in capturing the video space at the moment, with pushes into YouTube’s territory and now into Periscope’s (owned by Twitter) and Meerkat’s turf.
Exciting times ahead.
