Is there anything you can’t advertise on Facebook and Instagram?
Yes! Facebook like many reputable media organisations have rules and regulations around what they can and cannot promote.
Tobacco products, weapons, unsafe supplements are just some of the items that we are unable to advertise.
Facebook is also weary about unjustified claims (such as medical cures) and discriminatory practises.
Please familiarise yourself with Facebook Advertising Policies to see what can and can't be done on Facebook > https://www.facebook.com/policies/ads/
Can’t we just pay you a monthly sum and you take care of it all?
In exceptional circumstances we may enter into such an agreement.
However it is our principle that you own your properties, your data and where that ad spend is being charged to.
We have found that this way ensures minimal risk to both parties.
Do we use our own advertising account or do you use yours?
Some agencies like put all advertising through their own accounts. This is typically to claw back further margin, perceived simplicity for the client etc.
When working with our clients we insist that all advertising is done through an advertising account that you own. This is so you retain your account data at all times, and there is full transparency into ad spend and results.
You will also retain all audience data that has been collected during our time together, leaving you with a solid base to keep building on.
How does Facebook, Instagram & Linkedin Advertising work?
Social media channels collect information on their users, such as what the user entered into their profile, what pages and posts they liked, and many other points of action. These are then put in data silos that you can select for targeting.
Combine this with profile and location information, and advanced targeting and you have a audience of people to push your ads to.
