Facebook has the most popular apps

According to comScore, Facebook currently has the two most downloaded apps in the U.S, Facebook app and Messenger. Instagram sits at number 9.

comScore reports:

Facebook ranked as the top smartphone app, reaching 73.3 percent of the app audience, followed by Facebook Messenger (59.5 percent), YouTube (59.3 percent) and Google Search (52 percent).

Google has five apps in the top 10, YouTube (3), Google Search (4), Google Play (5), Google Maps (6), and Gmail (8).

Twitter sits at number 13 and Snapchat sits at 15.

I can’t help but feel that Google’s dominance in the top 10 is due to their default presence on Android devices, their usage not measured in this report.
